Bob Mizke – President, Chief Creative Officer and Oswego Creative Co-founder
Bob is the President and the creative force behind Oswego Creative, a company he created with his wife Bert in 1988.
In his role as President, Bob is responsible for the overall vision, direction and philosophy behind everything that Oswego Creative does. In addition to his management role, Bob brings his creative vision and experience to virtually every project at Oswego Creative.
Having created Oswego Creative from scratch, Bob is accustomed to long days and nights doing whatever it takes to assist clients. Bob's work ethic is evident in each and every member of the Oswego Creative team, leading by example to do whatever it takes to fulfill each client's creative vision. From its very inception, Oswego Creative and Bob’s work has been recognized multiple times - winning local, regional and national awards.
Before venturing out on his own, Bob spent eight years as the Vice President of Network Affiliates, Inc., the largest ad agency and production company in the nation for doctors and lawyers, boasting almost two hundred clients and markets from coast to coast. Prior to that, he was a television news producer, responsible for various daily newscasts and live events for KUSA and KMGH in Denver, Colorado.
Bob is a graduate of the Journalism School at the University of Colorado.
Bert Gurule – Executive Vice President and Oswego Creative Co-founder
In addition to the cofounding of Oswego Creative, as Executive Vice President, Bert is responsible for the financial operations and day-to-day direction of Oswego Creative.
Bert’s roots in the industry were forged as a versatile and respected news reporter and anchorwoman at KUSA and KMGH in Denver, Colorado. In this role, Bert not only managed the anchor desk, but also the production and field reporting everything from live events to light hearted features. In addition to Bert’s news career, she has also been involved with public relations in the health care and hospital industry.
Bert attended Regis University in Denver.
Bill Johnson – Chief Operations Officer and VP of Marketing
Bill is Oswego Creative’s Chief Operations Officer and is responsible for all client marketing executions and the implementations of Oswego Creative’s business processes and enhancements.
Before joining Oswego Creative, Bill has held a number of marketing management positions. Most recently, Bill held the position of Vice President of Marketing for Hobsons, a leading education recruiting company, and was responsible for all facets of the marketing, creative development and distribution. Prior to Hobsons, Bill held Marketing management roles at other leading education and technology providers, including eCollege, Jostens Learning Corporation and Macmillan/McGraw-Hill.
Bill holds a Master of Arts degree from the Graduate School of International Studies and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with minors in History and German from the University of Denver.
Will Sheldon – Director of Business Development
Will joined Oswego Creative to develop new local and national business opportunities across a variety of vertical markets.
Will comes to Oswego Creative with an extensive background in Media Sales. He started his career selling national print and online campaigns to major brands in the technology sector such as Dell Computer, Texas Instruments, Microsoft and Intel. A third generation Colorado native, Will spent nearly twelve years selling technology advertising campaigns for media outlets in San Francisco and New York City before returning to his home state in 2008.
In 2009 Will made the jump into television and radio sales managing new business opportunities for the ABC and Telemundo network affiliates in Colorado Springs and then directing sales efforts for the newly launched ESPN Deportes and ESPN Sports Radio Networks in Denver.
Will holds an Associates of Arts degree in Visual Communication from the Colorado Institute of Art as well as an undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of Colorado in Boulder. He also completed post-graduate certification in Economic Development from the University of Bridgeport (CT).
Dominic Giarratano – Account Executive and Producer
Dom is one of Oswego Creative’s Account Executives as well as a Producer and an on-camera talent option. He is responsible for maintaining the high level of customer service his clients come to expect from us both behind the lens and in front of it.
Before joining Oswego Creative in the fall of 2006, Dom was a Producer for KCNC Channel 4 News in Denver for their weekend morning newscasts.
Dom holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism and a minor in Italian from Colorado State University.
Matthew Walton – Account Executive and Producer
Matthew is an Account Executive Producer and is responsible for development and execution of client projects and relationships.
Before joining Oswego Creative, Matthew held a number of positions in sales management and client services. Most recently Matthew was an Account Executive at KDVR TV, an owned and operated FOX television station, and was responsible for developing new business and managed over two million dollars in sales revenue annually. Prior to KDVR, Matthew was National Sales Manager at KRDO television and KJCT television and managed national sales teams to meet revenue goals. Through his career in media sales he has sold all major affiliate television programming, ABC, CBS, NBC and FOX and prior to selling television he sold multi format/syndicated radio programming. Matthew has also worked on the production side of television when he was a Productions Assistant at Washington, DC bureau of CNN, media coordinator for football operations at the University Of Colorado and worked in Master Control at KBDI TV.
Matthew holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Communication from the University Of Colorado, Boulder and holds a CRMC Certificate through the Radio Advertising Bureau.
Kevin Villegas – Writer and Producer
Kevin Villegas is a Writer and Producer for Oswego Creative. He is responsible for scheduling and executing shoots, writing scripts, and coordinating with production and post-production staff.
Prior to joining Oswego Creative, Kevin was a journalist for the Rocky Mountain News, writing stories, copy editing and doing page layout for more than 4 weekly community publications. Before joining the real world, he was a recycling assistant and special events manager for the University of Colorado Environmental Center.
Kevin holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Environmental Studies from the University of Colorado-Boulder.
Alyson Mizke – Account Executive and Producer
Alyson Mizke works as one of Oswego Creative’s Account Executives and Producers with specific focus on the management of Oswego Creative’s non-profit client, Project Type Zero.
Project Type Zero is a fundraising effort sponsored by the Building and Construction Trades Department benefitting Diabetes Research. Since joining Oswego Creative, Alyson has managed the rebranding and enhanced communications efforts of Project Type Zero. Through event planning and committee coordination Alyson has helped Project Type Zero raise over $1 million annually.
Alyson holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Colorado School of Journalism with an emphasis in Advertising.
Rand Lechner – Director of Productions and Photography
Rand Lechner is Oswego Creative’s Director of Productions and Photography. Rand has over 26 years experience in video and film production with most of those years behind the camera.
Before Oswego Creative, Rand worked as a freelance DP, shooting various programs for companies such as HGTV, Food Channel, Warren Miller Films, Discovery Channel, E! Entertainment, and ESPN just to name a few. Rand brings a mixture of technical prowess coupled with an aesthetically pleasing eye for detail helping make the most out of every project Oswego Creative undertakes.
Rand holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism, Broadcast Production, from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
Erica Jaffe – Senior Editor
Erica is Oswego Creative’s Senior Editor and manages the day-to-day activities of the editing department. In addition to managing the daily operations of the edit department, Erica also acts as lead edit on a number of client projects. Erica also oversees DVD production, authoring, and graphic design.
Prior to joining Oswego, Erica worked as a freelance editor, videographer and Production Assistant in the Denver metro area.
Erica is a graduate of Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska and has a BA degree in Media Production with an emphasis in Broadcast Journalism and a BA in Business Administration.
Michael Stephan – Editor
Michael Stephan is an editor in Oswego Creative’s post-production department. He is responsible for short and long form editing, motion graphics, compositing, photography and graphic design.
Before joining Oswego Creative, Michael worked as a freelance photographer/editor in the Denver area. Prior to that, he attended school for video production while working as an Apple certified sales professional at Micro Center.
Michael has a professional degree in video production from the Art Institute of Colorado, graduating Alpha Beta Kappa and Magna Cum Laude.
Anna Giron – Office Manager
“Anna” Ida Giron is Oswego Creative’s Office Manager. As part of the Oswego team she heads the Accounts Payable/Account Receivable department, and is responsible for many Human Resource functions.
Before joining Oswego Creative, Anna’s positions have included all facets of office administration: accounting, HR, sales, and marketing. Most recently, Anna held the position Director of Business Operations for Lucid Sun and Lucid Development, the companies behind the HGTV 2007 Dream Home of the Year and innovative products such as the Kangopack. She was the company Liaison, also responsible many facets of the marketing, research, creative development and distribution. In prior year’s, Anna held an auditing position at the Isle of Capri Casino, and was a manager at Christina’s Bridal.
Kathryn Giarratano – Travel Coordinator
Kathryn Giarratano is Oswego Creative’s Travel Coordinator and is responsible for all booking, tracking, and back-end financial organization of travel for all Oswego Employees.
Kathryn has worked for several years on the financial side for Oswego Creative, initially working as an assistant office manager before transitioning into her current position. Kathryn also brings her creative side to Oswego Creative as an on-screen talent, working primarily in local television commercials.
Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
